Post Shortage of apartments in Woodlawn?
Does anyone think that there is a shortage of apartments in Woodlawn?  I unexpectedly have to move in the near future and have had to search around for an apartment.  There is literally next to nothing out there at the moment.  I looked at all of the local Irish papers, talked to my bar tenders, checked all the local bulletin boards, have looked on Craigslist, and have even contacted a realtor.

I have only found 2, 1 bedroom, places so far and with both I was outbid by someone else.  What gives?

Is there a reason for this?  There seems to be enough multi-familiy homes in the area and there are a decent number of apartment buildings in the neighborhood.

Why then does the rental market feel like it is so tight?
