Post Overrun by Toys???
Hi.  I'm a mom of two young children and I was just wondering if anyone else is overwhelmed by the amount of toys kids have nowadays.  I know when I was a kid, I definately did not have as much as my children do now.

We have TONS of everything.  You name it, we got it!  We have enough books and videos to open up a children's library.  We've got big cars, little cars, trucks, Thomas the Tank engines, Legos, Bratz, Barbies, Disney Princess, Dress up clothes, Polly Pockets, etc., etc.,  etc., etc.!

I try my best to do a 3-6 month donation run but I have to do it on the sneak because my kids don't want to give up anything.

I know it's partly our own fault because we love our kids so much we want them to have the best, the most, the greatest and we pay top dollar for it.  But in giving it all to our kids, we wind up with a heap of junk!

And I think most of the parents out there are in the same boat as us.  Am I alone in this????????

Thanks for the rant! Smile

Hello,  I was wondering if you still had some toys that you would like to donate.  I would gladly take them off your hands.  I am a stay-at-home mom and I'm trying to run a home-based childcare center. I am still in training and still need to get my license.  I will have finished the course by the end of September.  Thank you so much for your time and consideration.  Feel free to contact me anytime at Arco4iris@yahoo.com

If you have educational toys for 1 - 4 yr olds in very good condition, please consider donating them to the Aisling Irish Community Center, a not-for-profit community based organization here on McLean Ave, Yonkers. If we don't have the room to keep them for our Moms & Tots group, we will donate them to a needy and deserving family. You can e-mail me at orla@aislingcenter.org or call 914-237-5121. Thank you.
