The Overseas Labor Management Department announced Thursday that 8,780 of more than 60,000 Vietnamese guest workers are residing illegally in South Korea, Sai Gon Tiep Thi newspaper reported.
The department quoted a report sent by South Korean Ministry of Labor and Employment as saying the number of illegal Vietnamese laborers in South Korea is rising.
