Post Looking for a 1br
Hi all,

My wife and I are looking for a new apt for Sept 1 2008.  I know that's a long way off, but just want to see what's out there, maybe someone has a nice apt that they're leaving this fall.

We're young (25ish), and are currently paying $1300 on 234th st.  We think that's too much, and we got screwed by our landlord last year with a $200 increase in a building that has little heat and less hot water.  Is there a better offer out there?  I think $1100 is very reasonable, and would make a big difference for us.

All offers are entertained, we'd even consider a 2br with another couple if we got along... Open to hanging out with anybody at Rambling on a Sat or Sun  Smile

Thanks

For a 1 br $1,300 is too much.  You should be paying closer to $1,100.  If you are lucky you can find some stuff for $1,000.

I have noticed a lot of the rent prices going up a good ammount.  When I was looking at apartments last year the average asking price for a 1 br seemed to be only $1,000, now it seems to have gone up to $1,100.

I guess its just inflation?
