Can anyone tell me about the River Road Motor Inn on Webster avenue?

I've lived in Woodlawn for three years and assumed it was a normal hotel.  I went in today to see about getting a room for my mother in law who will be visiting soon.  I was surprised to see that although there is a reasonable $95 rate option during the week the week-ends are another story.  Rooms can only be rented by the hour!

I am sure the hourly rates are great for young people and bored housewives but would my mother-in-law enjoy this hotel as a place to stay visiting New York from Missouri?

I have always wondered about that hotel as well.

I pass this place every night on my walk home, and I've never seen anything but shady characters in and around it.  I'm not here to judge anybody, but they're not Irish if you know what I mean.  It doesnt surprise me to hear that they rent by the hour on the weekend, I've seen a lot of condom boxes on the sidewalk, and the maid cleaning rooms well after 9pm.

This is not a place I would want anybody in my family staying.

Looks like the River Road Motor Inn is a popular destination for child kidnappers and rapists.

I guess you don't like your mother in law

I guess it is some kind of marketing strategy. They know that week-ends it the peak of their services, so they take advantage and ask for every-hour rate. I suggest you just look for another place for your mother-in-law if you don't want her to be offended. Augusta GA Hotels
